St Benedict’s School is a Roman Catholic Benedictine school run by the monks of Asirvanam Benedictine Monastery. It has its roots in the values of the Gospel of Christ and the more than 1500 year old Benedictine tradition of schooling.
We at St Benedict’s seek to promote, together with the intellectual development of the students with demonstrated academic achievements, reverence for God, respect for truth, love of learning, regard for human dignity and tolerance.
The Benedictine motto of “Ora et Labora” i.e “Prayer and Work” is the motto of the School. By this the students are made to understand the primacy of God and the Divine-Human (God’s Grace and human effort) cooperation displayed in every achievement, development and growth beginning with their study and formation.
